Lower hallways

A set of hallways in the lower parts of cloud tower. There are some abandoned classrooms here that haven't been used in decades.

Harmony held her breath.
Please don't let anything bad happen she thought as she arrived at the top of the staircase.

Once arriving at the top of the staircase an alarm is sounded on the intercom. "Full marks for the first semester for the student to capture the escapee!" The voice sounded sweet as honey but would churn butter at the same time. Once getting down a corridor would lead harmony to the abandoned lower section of cloud tower.

[Situation]
-Due to Harmony's heightened hearing she can determine the location of the patrols by sound.
-The hallways are dimly lit by magical torches on the wall.

[Objective]
Get through the door at the bottom of the map without being captured/spotted by the patrols.

Combat system is in. Each cycle of post spans 10 seconds.

"I have to get away and fast!" Harmony cried as she started to head down the staircase, "This is not good!"

New situation:

Footsteps seem to echo through this hallway and small particles of dust float in the air. Harmony can distinguish no more than two separate sets footsteps.

Oh no..... Harmony thought as she reached the end of the hallway. She put herself against the wall, and peeked out where the noise was coming from.

Note: It doesn't seem that the patrols can hear Harmony's footsteps quite as well as she herself hears theirs.

Harmony gulped and turned left, hoping to head to another wall and hide, to see if there is any echos coming close.

The footsteps are getting slightly quicker.

"Here goes....." Harmony told herself and dashed down to the first open door she could at least find.

New situation:

Harmony dashes for an open door, trying several latches until one gives. The patrols seem to meet one another and start a brief conversation. "When I catch this girl, I'll drag her to the trix by her hair, that'll show her," one stated. The other one replied: "Not if I strike you down and claim the victory for myself,"

The two grumbled and were distracted for a little.

The Room harmony has entered seems like it served as a locker room. Against the wall a few lockers remain, there are a total of six lockers and each is as tall as a person.

While inside with the door closed, Harmony is not updated on the location of the patrols. There are no windows allowing sight into the hallways. When the door is open, Harmony can only hear patrols that are near, and thus might be seeing an open door.

Harmony took a deep breath of relief, and eyed the lockers. She ran towards them and began to search each locker.

(From top to bottom)
The first locker opened revealed an old set of clothes, for more than half eaten by moths and other vermin. The second one yielded two potions, a green liquid and a yellow liquid. The third locker's door fell out of its hinges with a loud metallic groan and produced a lot of dust and noise while doing so. The fourth locker held nothing but dust. The fifth has a relatively new looking lockbox in it that seems out of place and the last locker contained a skeleton dressed in 17th century earth clothes.

While in this room Harmony is not aware of the position of the patrols.

AARRRGGGG!!! Why??? Harmony groaned when the third locker door fell. But she took the potions anyway. She ran to the door, slowly opened it and took a peek.

Carefully opening the door it seems the two patrolling girls take an effort into being as far away from each other as possible for now.

Current situation:

Harmony saw a blur just walked by the corridor. She darted to the room next door, just to be on the safe side....and hopefully search for more things.

As Harmony darted from one room to another she could hear the footsteps of the nearest patrol halt, Harmony was getting close to them and now the ears of a normal person could detect her. However when the patrol glanced up the hallway, Harmony was already in the room, though the patrol's route has changed.

The room she stumbled into looked like it once could have been a lunch room, a break room or a teacher's lounge, there was no way telling. Yet two cabinets standing did stand out.

Harmony gave a sigh of relief and ran to the cabinets.
"Please let it be something useful....." she told herself while she did her raid.

One cabinet held an array of different tools that might have been used for torture, or at least used for demonstrative purposes to that end. The second cabinet was empty except for an almost black key on a large metal ring.

Harmony took the key from the cabinets, not taking the other items.
"Looks like getting out of here got a lot harder" she groaned, then headed towards the door.

With the door closed Harmony lost track of the patrols. Does she open the door?

A mild feedback of sound issues from the PA in the room and the halls, before it stops and a voice projects out, "I don't think you are all looking hard enough!" The voice blares in annoyance, "So let's swee..." The PA in the room starts feeding back again for several moments, before the sound returns to normal, "...now get your asses in gear witches and move it."

"I have a feeling that I am being watched somehow" Harmony groaned, then crept to the door and listened.

With harmony's ear pressed against the door she can faintly distinguish one set of footsteps.

Harmony took a deep breath and slowly opened the door, hoping that no-one saw her.

Harmony opens to door and to her relief no witches spring in sight. Now the door has opened she gets a good reading on the patrols again, and realizing that even while listening her previous perceptions were not very accurate. Now however, it seemed that the distance between everyone was rather large.
