Miave looked above as the crystal hummed its tune and glowed even brighter, feeling more peaceful than she had in a long while. Despite this, she still gave a nervous laugh when Zaf suggested they try channeling some magic as well. "I'm not so sure it will like mine, I don't wanna ruin its flow here."

"I could try a healing spell, not sure what the crystal will do with it." Noko answers and places her hand upon the crystal, using her moon darkness spell. She just hoped it didn't have any adverse affects.

The crystal's light dim's a fraction due to the nature of the magic, but another layer is added to the hum, along with a quick bursting aura of restorative energy.

Zaf smiled excitedly as the hum grew, feeling emboldened by the rejuvenation she sprang an idea. "I've got this spell where I can make a red beam," she excitedly proclaimed and stood ready to launch it. "Heads up," she said as her hand started to glow... yellow? A yellow beam shot straight for the crystal, leaving Zaf baffled as to what the hell just happened.

The crystal absorbs the beam like it was eating breakfast and moments later, the pointed top releases six yellow streams of rotating beams, along with a swift burst magical energy around the girls. The beams unfortunately do make contact with a few birds, who flinch and fly downwards and land upon the crystal tweeting angrily.

Those watching the crystal from the beach stare in awe of the light show they are seeing. One person even snaps a few pictures for the local news paper since this was something big to the locals. Several didn't even seem to notice that birds were hurt in the incident. A few of the people were also talking about the crystal's hum and wonders what got that started. Maybe they should ask those girls on it why it started doing it.

Miave laughed happily at the evolving light show, until she noticed the birds having to make a hasty landing on the crystal.

"Aww, are you guys okay?" she asked worriedly, holding out her hand towards whoever landed closest to her.

Looking worried at the bird, Noko glances up at the light show. Maybe the local legend about it being a weapon was true? She had no idea what to do about this, nor did she think using another spell would help. "Whatever is happening, maybe it will quiet down soon."

Initially Zaflore hopped away from the Crystal, starteling a little about what happened and being concerned with her spell not doing as she expected. hesitantly she stepped towards the crystal again and suggested as much to herself as to anyone else: "Maybe if I'm able to put energy in, I can also try to draw it out again." Carefully she placed her had on the crystal again, and imagined herself to be a void, a well, somewhere power from outside could flow.

The bird that was tweeting angrily, hops over to Miave and sits in her hand. It was still rather angry for whatever had hit it.

Trying to draw back the magic from the crystal did nothing at all, aside making the tips of the star fairy's fingers go numb, along numbing the butts and feet of the two fairies sitting upon it. The light erupting from the top of the crystal soon diminishes and everything returns to once it was.

Those on the shore, watch for several moment seconds, before going back on their way. Some were even disappointed the light show had ended.

When the thing depleted Zaf withdrew her had. Other than her fingers feeling numb she hadn't noticed anything. She shook her hand a couple of times in order to get blood flowing and regain feeling. "This was awesome tho," Zaf said, sound frightful as well as awestruck at the same time.

"What...what did you do Zaf?" Noko question in awe of the lighting disappearing and she struggles to move so she can fully look at her friend to speak to her, "My ass and my legs, why are they numb?" She hadn't the foggiest what just happened and it confused her greatly. This discovery about the crystal was mind boggling.

Miave squirmed with distaste as the parts of her touching the crystal grew numb. "Euuugh, that one was weird." She looked around to see if any other birds were still sitting around them. "Did you guys feel that?" Moving a bit more, she looked down to where Zaf was messing with things below. "I don't think it liked whatever you did there."

Zaflore shrugged. "I don't know, I tried to drain the thing of energy, not sure if it worked. It only made my hand feel numb," Zaf said in denial. "Are you guys all right?"

"I will be once I can feel my butt and my feet." Noko replies weakly, wondering how long this was going to take.

"I think aside from some numbness and pissed-off birds, we're all fine," Miave answered, trying to shake some feeling back into her hands.

"Glad you guys are alright," She said perhaps a little presumptuously. "Hey Noko, Do you think I could get a small shard of this Crystal to take with me to Alfea?" she wondered.

Noko blinks at the question, unsure if it was even possible to take a bit of it. "I'm unsure if there are any shards or if that would do damage to it. You can try to take small shard if you can."

"Won't people get mad if I start to chisel away at their crystal?" Zaf said with a small frown. "Besides, I don't have the tools to chip away anything anyways," she admitted. This despite her extensive preparation.

"As long as you get permission to take a sample, I'm sure they wouldn't mind." Noko couldn't fathom anyone getting angry if someone went through the proper channels. "But you can just come back with the tools later I would think."

For a short moment Zaf deliberated within herself and then nodded. "So, who do we ask?" she eagerly asked.

"I'm not sure, maybe one of the park rangers." She hadn't a clue on whom to ask, so someone in charge might be the best play.

As the other two girls discussed their options, Miave looked around to see if there were any small growths of crystal that looked like they could be chipped off of the main body. If she could see anything within reach, she'd give it a solid whack and see if it came off.

Around the young princess, there wasn't a single small growth of crystal that could be chipped away. However, closer to the water's edge, there was a tiny offshoot that jetted above the water. Was it really small or was it bigger and hiding its size like a ice burg?

Only one way to find out! Miave started to climb back down the crystal until she reached the little offshoot. Once she could reach it, she'd wrap her hand around it and give it an firm jerk to see if it would break.

The jet of crystal wobbles a bit and feels like it begins to move, but doesn't quiet give just yet.
