Re: Kamehuva City hall
Sometime after leaving the airport, the young man enters city hall and looks around, seeing if there was a front desk or at least a department he had to go see.
Re: Kamehuva City hall
City hall was almost empty except for one desk that had a queue of several dozen people snaking off it. Above it hung a sign: Rosebush island "ghost" tour waiver.

Roll looks at the sign with a frown, wondering why the ghost was in quotation marks or why it was called a tour for that matter. It didn't sit right with him, but he still decided to enter the queue. At the worst, he would come up with nothing as usual and this place was massive trap for tourists, at the best he'd find something. "Looks like we're in for a long wait little buddy." He utters to Kiko.
Re: Kamehuva City hall
The queue was long and Kiko would complain and wanting to go. It wanted to go to the beach. Defiantly he folded open the chair he carried and planted himself in it with his shirt hanging open as if on the beach regardless.

As with any bureaucratic process this one was slow. At least if they let you pick a number you could sit, but no luck here.
After the first solid hour of uneventful waiting, a duo tries to cut in line. They are wearing gopro cameras mounted on strange looking helmets and a bodycam as well. They also carry a lot of strange measuring equipments, They claim to be from a famous ghosthunter tv show.

"Hey, stop trying to cut the line." Roll snaps, glaring disapprovingly at the duo. "It shouldn't matter if you from a show and using gopro equipment from Earth or a specialist like me or even if you're noble or some kind of prince/princess of a planet, you wait your turn like everyone else." These guys were rude, who did they think they were, the princess of Melody?
Re: Kamehuva City hall
One of the ghost hunters, a male with frizzy hair poking from underneath his turned his attention to Roll for a second and huffed. "We're on a tight schedule. Not everyone here is on a vacation." he said while pointing towards Kiko.

still defiantly in his chair, But when he was poked fun of, he also hoisted the parasol in a gesture of even bigger defiance and annoyance of the wait.

"And I've been waiting patiently for awhile and I'm not on vacation. What makes you more important than the rest of these people aside your TV show? I'm sorry your on a tight schedule, but maybe you should of thought of getting this done ahead of time instead of trying to screwing people over." Roll answers, noticing Kiko's action and nodding to the bunny, knowing this was not very fun for him either.
Re: Kamehuva City hall
Roll's reprimand made some of the others clap. Then, when he approached suddenly his equipment seemed to alert all at once, an oscillator showed a very distinct pattern for a brief moment. The man immediately retreated and started to talk with his partner, dropping every and all attempts to cut in line.
The rest of the wait is uneventful again. Upon arriving Roll finds he has to pay the equivalent of $5 US for the waiver. Seems like the city is simply treating it as a paid permission slip.

Re: Kamehuva City hall
Roll pulls some cash from his wallet to pay for the waive and hands the money over to the person at the desk, "About fifty years ago, how much did it cost for the waiver?" He asks, making the decision to read all the fine print upon it just in case.
Re: Kamehuva City hall
"I think it was free back then," the woman behind the counter said. "They believed the place was actually haunted, but scientists say that any sounds on the island are caused by the wind howling on oddly shaped rock formations... NEXT!" it the last part sounded studied.

Re: Kamehuva City hall
Roll exits the line, but not before checking the waivers fine print. He also decided he'd check out those rock formations just to play safe. While reading, he makes his way back to the bunny and looks down at him, "Sorry for the wait little buddy, I got the waiver. We'll stop by the beach once we're done on the island before heading back to Magix."
Re: Kamehuva City hall
There was no fine print other than the city of Kamehuva not being liable for any damages of property and injury sustained on the island. It did however state that criminal offenses perpetrated whilst on the island were still prosecuted and one could get reimbursed if the law called for it.
It also has a stamped slip which reads: "Show to ferrymaster" with the address of the ferry station along it.

Re: Kamehuva City hall
Enthusiastically the bunny jumped out of the chair and in less than three seconds the parasol and chair were folded and Kiko was ready and set to go two hours ago.

From the corner of his eye Roll could see the female ghost hunter pointing toward Roll while the man nodded.

Re: Kamehuva City hall
Roll takes note of all this information and lowers the waiver to his side. "No time to waste then, to the island we go." Not wanting to say another word, the young man heads for the exit and off towards the ferry.
