Main Street Area

Autumn roams the early morning streets of Magix, having just gotten a few things the drug store for her chemistry endeavors. She has a very large grin in her face as she heads for the bus stop, excited to make an elephant snake.

Lufia was grateful for the day off from school today. Despite her misgivings about Alfea, she had to admit, there was some pretty interesting stuff to look at. It was nice to at least be able to look at things in peace, wondering what they were and how they worked. A meager allowance from home didn't allow for much purchasing of the random things she saw in the store windows, as much as she would have liked to, but there was still some items on the cheaper end of things that she considered buying for herself. She had settled herself onto a bench near the drug store, sitting sideways with her tail splayed and flicking, as she would normally do at home (felt weird without the water, though). Setting down the small bag that contained an item she had bought for herself, she pulled out her tin of ointment, slathering a small bit of it to the base of her tail. While walking around was a surprisingly simple feat for someone like her, exposing her tail to the concrete and hard floors of this realm was something she thought she'd never get used to.

The ointment soothed the minor irritation, and Lufia put the ointment away, bringing out the little treat she had gotten for herself: a small votive with a candle inside. The votive was clear glass, and the candle colored pink, and she inspected the wick, wishing she knew how to light it. As someone who came from a world that was almost entirely underwater, fire was a strange concept to her, despite having read about and seen pictures of it.

Several sandwalkers and sandwalker transports pass the bench, many of them not paying any mind to Lufia, aside two young children, who gawk at her in amazement. They had never seen a mermaid before and not like this. One tries to reach out for her tail, but was yanked away by their parents as they head away down to a toy store.

As for the votive and the candle, sunlight would hit it at just the right angle, producing a small rainbow that is projected onto the bench.

Autumn strolls down the street, taking in several breaths to enjoy the rather clean air. She did of course have two ways back to school, one of course flying back or her other option being the bus. In this case, she'd rather take the latter, just due to the nature of the relaxing ride. As she approaches the bus stop, she eyes take in something odd, but nothing out of the ordinary, mermaid splayed on a bench.

It wasn't the weirdest thing in the magic dimension, but it wasn't very common to see them not revert back to using her legs. Autumn swift steps towards the bench to wait for the bus, placing her bag just next to the bench as to clean her glasses.

Several minutes later, the bus pulls up to the curb, letting off those passengers that it had, including a two certain Alfea students.

Sonya lead the way off the bus, taking a moment to stretch now that she had the space.

"Have anywhere specific in mind?" she asked, looking down the street. "I might stop by work, see if we have anything I haven't seen yet. Maybe check the clothing shops, he likes scarves..."

Stella steps off the bus, taking in a breath of the city. "I was thinking of maybe heading to the drug store and probably getting a few cards for birthdays." Stella answers, tapping her finger to her chin, "I think there was something else I could use in there." She listens intently to Sonya's plan, but gives an approving nod, "Scarves are perfect accessories for almost any outfit. What kind of books do they deal in?"

Picking up her bag from the ground, Autumn boards the bus, taking a seat towards the front. Now all she had to was wait for them to head off back to school.

Several people get off the bus after Autumn take their seat. These people move past Stella and Sonya, but also give little mind to the mermaid sitting upon the bench. Two of these people speak about heading to a junk shop to look for hidden treasure.

"We've mostly got stuff like old history and reference books," Sonya answered, watching the strangers from the bus as they walked away. She'd been eavesdropping as she answered the question. "Magic books, too, but Cyrus doesn't really do magic."

She turned back to Stella. "Have you heard of that junk shop? Maybe it isn't all crap and we could find something cool there."

"This is the first time I've heard of any kind of junk shop here in town." Stella knew most town, but there were some places that had never really caught her eye or attention. Sonya did have a point too, there could be some untold treasure there,

"Well, it might be worth a shot exploring to see what they have. We should really check in at your job first, maybe I can grab something for Tecna in there. She'd love that place probably for the reference books, but don't hear too many places that sell magic books. It's not everyone's cup of tea either."

"Works for me. It's just down here." With that, Sonya lead the way to Rare Gem Books, though she also took notice of the mermaid lounging on the bench nearby. Not that she stared, though - she didn't want to be rude.

Stella would follow in silence, not taking any notice of the mermaid on the bench as she passes by.

Sonya lead the way, not having to walk far before seeing the familiar storefront of her workplace. Thankful that she'd soon be out of the bright sun, she lead the way inside.

Stella follows swiftly, not wanting to be left behind.
