Dorm Beta

"I'll be fine. Probably be a minute or two before I can fully see." Noko answers, waving her arms in front of her to find a steady surface to hold onto. "What exactly was that and what do you mean again?"

Zaf heaved a sigh when noticing the damage wasn't too bad. "It's my magic. It flares when I get really emotional. It also happened when I found out I had magic," Zaf explained in a resigned tone whiling hanging her head.

Still blinking and rubbing her burned arms a bit, Miave shook her head. "Hey, don't worry about it. It happens," she said, making a point to not sound angry or upset. "Magic is a lot harder to control than some people make it look."

She looked around, trying to find an escape, but only finding her door. She sighed, running out from her room, not looking a bit at Miave, and rushed out the dorm door into the hallway. She darted towards the courtyard.

Being blind as she was, Miave didn't see Tsol running for the door.

Having heard a sound, Noko begins to look around, her vision still impaired.

While Zaflore was in the process of profusely apologizing for her literal outburst she too failed to notice Tsol slipping away. She did however notice Noko and wondered what she was looking for, though didn't bother to ask.

Noko blinks a few more times as her vision clears, no longer seeing a blob, but normal shapes and people. "How long does this blindness last for Zaf?"

"Between ten and thirty seconds I think, I'm not quite sure, never measured it," Zaf said tentatively. "It should pass any moment now," she tried to reassure her friends, though in no real certain terms.

Miave was beginning to see indistinct forms, which was progress, at least. She'd been close to Zaflore and looking right at her, so the effect was taking its sweet time in wearing off. "Did you say you're in this dorm? Someone being able to do this makes me feel safe, anyone who tries to break in and get the drop on us won't stand a chance."

Zaf barked a laugh when protection was mentioned and shook her head fervently. "I can do a lot of things, but I wouldn't know how to protect even myself if push came to shove, let alone you guys,"

"Ah, I'm sure we'd figure it out," Miave said, hoping she sounded encouraging. The situation seemed to make Zaflore uncomfortable, though, so she didn't want to dwell on it. "Well Noko, I don't know about you but I can mostly see again. I'm still down for Solaria if you guys are."

Noko nods as her vision clears up completely, "I'm ready to go if you both are."

Zaf smiled weakly, feeling a little comforted by her roommates. "Wait, let me just grab a few things!" Zaf said and immediately after darted into her room, which by the sounds of it would be fully redecorated by the time Zaf re-emerged with a duffel bag that looked like it was filled to near bursting.

Noko looks at the bag, surprised that her friend had brought so much, "What are you bringing along?"

Zaf shrugged. "Just the bare necessities," Zaf stated and smiled broadly in anticipation of feeling the full power of a trinary star system to fuel her magic. "Let's go!"

Patting around her pockets to make sure her wallet was in there, Miave grinned in amusement at Zaflore's stuffed bag (or at least, what she assumed was a bag - her eyes hadn't fully recovered just yet) and rubbed her hands together in excitement. "Alright, how are we getting there?"

"By teleporting of course." Noko answers with a kind smile and swiftly extends her hand. A spell leaps forth and surrounds an empty piece of carpet with dark purple light. "Just step right into that light and we'll be whisked off." The silver haired girl strolls onto the spot and is soon replaced by a silver orb that zooms away.

"You're kidding right HOLTSHIT JUST WENT UP IN THIN AIR.!" Zaf said panicky. "I can't do this I can't dothis I can't do this," she said a couple of times and looked towards Miave for some kind of support.

"That will work," Miave said casually, watching as Noko conjured the portal. She was about to step in herself when Zaflore flew into a panic, which startled Miave for a moment until she realized what was going on.

"What...the portal?" she asked, gesturing towards it vaguely. "Have you not teleported before? It's super easy, really! You don't even feel anything, you're just instantly where you want to be." Well, that's how all the portals she'd used before worked, anyway, and there was no use in getting into what-ifs now.

"Here, you go before me. Nothing bad is gonna happen, but if it makes you feel better, I promise I'll keep an eye on you and make sure it goes smoothly."

Only half convinced Zaf took a tentative step towards the portal, getting cold feet briefly, and then just plunged in with a soft scream as she was whisked away to the destination the same way Noko was.

With Zaflore safely through, Miave stepped in as well, teleporting to their destination with the others.

Harmony woke up in her pond. It was not what she is used to, but it's the best she got. She swam to the edge and poked her head up.

Her room of course is decorate with a sea life theme, with a desk up in the loft space for her , along with anything else she had needed being in there. At the current time, it's rather quiet in the dorm.

Without a roommate to worry about, Miave had been up all night playing games on her computer, and was now soundly asleep in her room.
