The guy behind the counter wrote a ticket for each order and then collected the individual ingredients for everyone's order and placed them in four little wooden bowls. Then he took one wooden bowl, tossed the ingredients in a large metal bowl pre-heated from below with a fire. Almost instantly the searing oil hissed upon coming in contact with the ingredients and ignited a flashy brief lasting flame. then sauce was added and eventually the rice or noodles too. The whole thing was then placed in a box and the appropriate order got to the one who ordered it.

"That'd be six bucks each girls," the Asian looking guy spoke with a thick American accent uncharacteristic of his looks.

Snow pulls out the gold doubloon with a gulp and slides it over the counter to the man, "I'm not sure if you'd take this, but it is pure gold." She really hoped the man would take it and if he didn't, well maybe one of the girls would cover for her, right? He eyes hold a look of worry that they wouldn't.

"Um.....Stella? Can you please vouch for us? I cover all the cost back when we return back to Alfea" Xanthe asked the sun fairy.

The guy in the truck looked a bit confused at Snow offering her golden coin and shook his head. "Only US dollars please, I have no way of knowing that thing is real. And even if it is, I can't take it, I don't know how much that's worth," he said. "You girls have money, right?" he asked, looking appraisingly at the party.

$24 total? The money Sonya had could cover it, but she'd still rather not let anyone know she had it just yet. She watched Stella, waiting for an answer to the question before she offered anything up.

"Don't worry girls, I've got you covered." Stella gives them a wink as she opens her purse. She pulls out her wallet and takes out a credit card and hands it to the owner of the cart.

"Thanks Stella, I promise that I will pay back every cent" Xanthe replied with glee.

"Yeah, I'll catch you when we get back to Alfea," Sonya said, smiling with relief. And because the food smelled delicious. Damn, she was hungry.

"I'll pay you back later as well, Stella." Snow answers, feeling better that she was covered and felt terrible her coin idea had not worked out so well.

The guy took the credit card and nodded satisfied when the machine gave a confirming bleep. "Enjoy ladies!" he said while gesturing to the four boxes, all steaming from being freshly prepared. He paused for a little before turning to snow and saying: "Hey lady, if you need to get rid of that coin of yours, I might know a place where you can pawn the thing," he suggested. "They might pay top dollar for it if it's real," he said with an air of disbelief.

Snow takes her food and gives a nod, "I'll see about doing that sir." She begins to look around for a place to sit. She wasn't going to sell her coin now, but would find out the exchange rate for it later.

"Looks delicious." Stella stashes her card back in her purse, grabs her food and walks over to a set of tables with a small flying placed on up it. She didn't glance at it, but the word music and contest were written on it. Instead, she digs into her food.

Xanthe took the food, thanked the man and joined Stella. She noticed the flier on the table.
"Huh, music contest?" she wondered.

The flier reads as follows, "Fun music contest, starting at 1PM. Come and sing your heart out. Prize is a set of tickets to the local movie theater."

"Hmm....this could be fun" Xanthe told herself, "Since we have a collection of earth songs back at work, i should know them well enough."

Snow looks at the flier, but shakes her head to it, "I'll sit this one out."

"I think I could try and join in." Stella says rather enthused. While she wasn't much of a singer since that was more Musa's things, the blonde still felt comfortable at giving it a go.

Xanthe froze. She heard that some of her friends knows her status and was scared about the result. It could result them chasing her like that bunch of students.
"I....I don't know if i want to" she said.

Already sitting down with a mouthful of delicious curry, Sonya cocked her head to get a look at the flyer. She shook her head, but didn't speak until after she'd swallowed. "I don't really sing. If you guys wanna go I'll come spectate."

"That's more than enough reason to not do it if you do not wish too." Stella answers, eyeing her friend why the sudden change of heart on this. Maybe it was just because it had been along day on Earth and that lady at the previous store had ruined it.

"Trust me, you don't want to hear me sing....not after today" Xanthe lied again, "I don't mind watching it though."

Stella would only nod, "After what happened earlier with that woman, I wouldn't be in the mood for certain things either, but watching it should still be fun." She thinks for a moment, but was leaning towards signing up.

Snow looks at the flyer again, reading where it was supposed to take place. It was actually going to happen right in this area, so they already had good seats, well she hoped they did.

"It will be fun watching it though" Xanthe continued, "Would love to see the talent here."

"Maybe I'll go see who has signed up." Stella stands up and swiftly walks over to the sign in. She hums a bit as she looks over the list. She quickly writes something on the sheet and returns to the table to eat.
