Faragonda's Office

As soon as Vivian speak to the two, Roll trudges in and moves to the side, leaning back on the wall. He didn't really feel like sitting either at that moment. He wasn't sure if Shinra was behind him in the hallway or not, but he was confident he would be along. He glances at Saladin and Faragonda, wondering what they would even ask.

Luciel stood off to the side once he arrived, hair actually pulled up and out of his face in a neat ponytail. It looked like he at least took a little bit of care on how he presented himself to Faragonda. While presenting himself was on his mind, so was something else. He seemed fidgety or unable to calm down, brows knitted together in either agitation or concern. But without anyone there who knows him personally, it might be hard to tell which exactly.

"I think we are all complete," Faragonda said at a moderate tone, yet somehow asserted herself immediately to grasp everyone's undivided attention. "You know why you're here. Please tell me what happened last night," she said in a friendly tone, trying to break the obvious tension that was among the group.

"Well Ms. Faragonda." Snow begins, feeling a bit nervous. "We were coming back from the karaoke bar that we spent the day at with Roxy leading us back to here and that's when she must have stepped on something because she was trapped in some kind of snare trap." With the nerves hitting her, the girl stops talking. She was so nervous she felt like biting her nails.

Roll leans forward a bit to look the elder fairy in the eye, "After the trap went off, there were some voices that were yelling in the distance. Not really able to make out what was said, but they didn't exactly sound like they wanted to invite us out for a beer. I started to look for something to use if the worst case happened."

Sonya listened as Snow started off, but ended up frozen from nerves. Roll picked it up from there, but stopped short of the end as well. No reason to draw this out.

"Whoever was off the path ambushed us," she said plainly. "There were two casters - the pair we brought back. There was another one in armor but he escaped. They were shooting to kill, so we defended ourselves."

"They took us by surprise....I...i..." Xanthe started, clutching her pants.

Miss faragonda just nodded with an unreadable face. "Who struck first, and how did you all react?" Faragonda asked inquisitively. She looked at everyone, clearly expecting an individual reaction from everyone who was there at the fight. "I want to know how you personally experienced it," she added to clarify the matter.

"I....I ran and hid for most of the time....i have no idea how to defend myself...." Xanthe replied, "I...I was so scared...."

"The first hit I saw clearly was when the one in armor sliced open my shoulder," Sonya said, losing a bit of her casual air before taking a split second to level out again. She wasn't entirely sure what this 'who shot first' questioning was hoping to accomplish, but if that's what they wanted, she'd go along with it.

"I mainly focused on him. He was fast, he was armed, and Roll and Shinra were focusing on the casters - I didn't know how much experience anyone else had with weapons." And he'd pissed her off, but there was no need to put that on the record. "So I held him down and attacked until he took off back into the trees."

"They struck first." Roll answers flatly as he shifts slightly against the wall, "They used a fast strike to try and get us off guard. That's when I grabbed a branch and tried to flank the two casters."

Snow slowly nods at the question, while feeling nervous she had to answers, "Some o...f...f us did transform into our fairy forms, but only for defensive means. We had no spells at the ready when they attacked us. After the attacks, I focused more on defensively  fighting the best I could." At this point, Snow moves her index finger close to her mouth and slowly bites her nail to calm down.

Saladin listens to the students, noticing the voice of one was rather absent from the conversation. "And what of you?" He answers Vivian, pointing his dragon head staff at her, "What was your reaction and who struck first?"

"haven't you been listening old man?" Vivian said defiantly. "They struck first, and I stuck back even harder. For all I cared I burned them all to a crisp where they stood," she stated while casting the man an almost mean glance.

"I have been listening, but we want to hear from all the points of view from those involved, including yours." Saladin answers, resting both of his hands atop his staff, looking directly into Vivian's eyes. "Views different from all people, thus why we want to hear from you all."

Vivian narrowed her eyes as she seemed to examine the man through the tiny slits that remained. Eventually she remained silent but stood as if twice as tall as she actually was.

Saladin remains silent as well, but he eyes her intently, trying to get the sense of her. "You have a warriors spirit, one that is prideful and brash."

[Faragonda]
She just nodded upon hearing everyone speak their mind and nodded, though she did glanced disapprovingly towards Vivian upon calling Saladin an old man. "Please enter Moria" Faragonda said loudly.

[Moria]
Moria entered the room. At first no one would recognize her and only when she entered further with a limp and welts all over would she be identified as the captive robed figure. her eyes are downcast but to everyone it could be seen they were bloodshot red. Dark circles beneath told she likely hadn't slept at all this night.

[Faragonda]
"Sonya," Faragonda began and quickly cast a glance at Moria. "The armed man you describe turned out to be this girl's boyfriend, or rather, was," she said and heaved a sigh. "We have found him dead from exanguination an hour after you brought her in."

Faragonda turned her attention to Moria. "I want all of your opinions on how to deal with Moria. She has confessed to the attack and corroborates your story fully. But I want to know how you all view this matter and how it should be resolved." Faragonda said stately.

[Moria]
"Please, I never wanted to hurt anyone. it was that other girl's idea to overwhelm anyone who'd spring her trap. I'm really sorry," she said while tears once more welled up in her bloodshot eyes.

"But....we killed her partner! We should be punished too" Xanthe exclaimed, standing up.

"The death of her partner wasn't your intent from my understanding." Saladin says calmly to the girl who had stood up, "You were all defending yourself and should not be punished for doing so. His death is an unfortunate accident of this situation."

Sonya would be lying if she said she didn't feel a sting in her chest upon hearing the man had died as a direct result of her attacks, but she didn't show it outwardly. She'd seen people die, wounded a few in a way that sped the process along, but as far as she knew, she was the only one who'd attacked this one specifically. It was entirely on her.

With but the slightest hint of bitterness, she spoke again. "With all due respect, why are you asking us what to do with her? We're students, I don't know if any of us are even legal adults. Isn't there law enforcement in Magix that should be dealing with this?"

Snow looks at the rug a bit, feeling rather guilty that this subject was being broached since she had tried to make a promise to this girl last night twice. She looks up to Faragonda and Saladin, deciding that it was time to answer. "W..while we may still be students, we'll have to make these kind of decision constantly in the future right? It wasn't her intent to attack us due to being dragged along by the other woman, but she still suffered a lose. I don't think she should be blamed for what has happened and should be let go. I do not want to go back on the promise I made to her either last night." Snow answers in a very neutral tone, trying to down play her nerves the best she could.

"Snow is right," Faragonda said resolutely as soon as she had voiced her concern. "A guardian fairy must be able to make judgement calls, sometimes this has to happen in a split second. Now I give you the opportunity to think about it for yourselves without pressure. She will be handed to the authorities, as Sonya suggested. Consider this your very first lesson at Alfea,"

"There's authorities other than the monks of light rock around here?" Roll snarks lightly, enough so one could tell he was sarcastic, "Who would have thunk it when you never see em. Why not just seal her magic and have her work as Knut's assistant her for a few months. She seems old enough to handle that kind of work."

"And what of you Shinra?" Saladin inquires of the young specialists, clutching his staff tightly, "What are your feelings on this matter of what should happen to Moria. And speaking of this," He looks to Luciel with eyes full of question, "What is your opinion of this from an outside perspective young wizard."
