I'm watching Winx Club Season 4 and I realize how incompetent selkies are. Also, why didn't Omnia just GIVE the Winx Sirenix in the first place if she knew about Tritannus.

Season 5 you mean and yeah they were rather useless, the pixies were more useful than they were. Probably because she wasn't allowed and it would defeat the purpose of the quest for it.

But she was like the supreme gaurdian-ish.

She was one of several nyphms. She's the same rank as Daphne was.

Yes she was one of the several nymphs, but she was the Supreme Guardian of Sirenix. If we go by what we know of the other guardians of sirenix, the ones in those little morrocan trinket boxes- I mean Sirenix boxes, they are the people who aid Harmonix fairies on their quest. So, if the Guardians of Sirenix are under her control, then she could've easily given the Winx an "Answer Sheet of Sirenix" or just told them where to go and what to do. While they still would've been tested because of Tritanus in the ocean, there would still be another way that the Winx could've just "gotten" Sirenix. The Winx filled their boxes with jewels, and made the source of sirenix work, but Omnia was the ultimate key to giving them Sirenix. After they unlocked the source of sirenix, they still weren't Sirenix fairies. Omnia opened the portal which made them Sirenix fairies. So that means the quest was just... optional in a way. They only would've needed to unlock the source with a convergence.

The Nyphes and the guides in the boxes are actually quiet different. The guides are just part of the boxes, they are not actual nyphes at all. We only know of 3 nyphes, the last one being Politea. The Winx got their sirenix and changed into it, then only omnia made herself known, by telling them they now had access to the infinite ocean.

No, I know. But the Winx still had harmonix when they got Omnia out of the source of Sirenix. So, the source of Sirenix is probably just a little box for Omnia, like the boxes are a home for the minor box guardians. So if the Winx got the harmonix, did a convergence, thus getting Omnia out of the source, Omnia could've gotten them through the portal and Sirenix-ed them.

Omnia wasn't in the source. She was always in the infinite ocean. She's the guardian of the infinite ocean and the nyphe of it.

True, but Omnia hasn't been shown the ability to teleport in and out of the infinite ocean. So the source would probably be the teleporter for her. But actually, I think that the portal itself if the source of sirenix, since that is how they transformed, not by achieving things in the quest. The gems seem to mean nothing. Unless, the gems contain magic that fuel the box guardians, allowing the portal to open.

basally the gems are meant to test ones self and their qualities of each person. But the source holds the power and by doing what they did, the winx were able to draw out the power. The power of sirenix is what holds the ability to use the portals.

Yes, so the gems are pretty much useless. The only thing needed would be Harmonix, or even any powerful transformation in water, to draw out the energy in the source.

I don't think they're useless, cuz its proof that you can unlock the power that is deep in the lake. Yes, you need Harmonix, but you need a complete box to get it. That's how I see it anyway.

No, you just need to "feel the ocean" and such. Any Winx Water transformation would do. Heck, Roxy could do it if she had a temporary water-power up.

hmm, it's hard to say at this point, but for the most part from what we've seen in the show, you have to go on teh quests to prove that you are capable of handling what Sirenix is and the source unlocks the power once you harmonize with the ocean. Harmonix is the only way to harmonize. If roxy has harmonix then she could do it.

Yes but there really is little need for harmonix. The Sirenix Box did not give it to them first, the Winx told them their trouble. For all we know, they could've given them a whole other transformation, and if that'd still work, we don't know. I do agree and think the tests prove your Sirenix worth while sharpening your water skills. It also sharpens your ability to harmonize with the ocean. However, a capable person could skip to the final test immediately - and could perhaps converge an equal amount of sound, animals, water, and psychic energy to form a replica of harmonix energy.

You can't skip to the final tests, cuz the box guardians and the box give you the clues to find the gems. I don't even think its possible to activate the source with out finding the gems and what not. Plus there is that lunar month you have for solving everything. Hmm that's an interesting theory to form a replica thought.

No I don't mean the normal system of sirenix quest, I mean if Omnia just said, "okay Winx here's sirenix, since Tritanus is literally threatening the whole magic oceans." I mean, I think the lunar month is a side affect of owning a side is guardian. Also, I don't see any magic emanating from the gems either, so I don't think it has any law effects in Sirenix.

hmm, I don't think Omnia can even grant sirenix. She's just a guardian of the ocean and that is beyond her power. It's interesting to contemplate if she could freely give it or not really. The lunar month is part of the normal quest even before you get the boxes. The book states you have a month and do you wish to take the risk of the quest. as for the gems, there might not be, they are just there to signify you are ready for the next clue or step.

She's actually not an ocean guardian in her official sense. Yes, she is an unnoficial guardian, because she has powers she can fight peeps, but her true title is being the supreme guardian of sirenix. Now, this could mean that she could open up an infinite ocean portal, which turned the fairies in Sirenix fairies. Another query, however, is if the source contains Sirenix Magic, but the raw energy is too powerful alone, and must be channelled through another power, the portal. The raw power could be what the witches got, explaining their grotesque sirenix form.
