Dorm Beta

Zaflore went big eyed and wonder riddled her face. "Can we go there?" she asked, almost as a little kid wishing she could be in a fairy tale.

"Of course we can go there. Since we don't have any class now we can visit." Noko answers, wondering where exactly on planet to take her.

"You mean like, right now?" Zaflore asked. A strange place indeed, but Solaria sounded like a paradise in her ears. "I'm game!" she said, finally shedding some of that nervousness.

"Yes as in right now." Noko answers with a quick nod to her friend. "But we need to decide where to go exactly. We could stop by my place or we could go see the palace, but they won't let us in anyway or we could visit the town I live in."

"Oh my god oh my godohmygosh!" Zaf exclaimed enthusiastically. This was beyond her comprehension of normal, but boy did she love magic right there and then.

Tsol walks in, looking pathetically tired. She sees Zaf's great excitement. "What's goin' on here?" she asks curiously. She raises her eyebrow lightly, not putting in too much effort to change her expression.

"We're thinking of maybe going off planet." Noko answers, turning to give Tsol a smile.

She covers her mouth with excitement. Her mood begins to shift. "Which?" she inquires, eyes sparkling with wonder.

"My home planet of Solaria." Noko answers, noticing the shift in Tsol's mood.

The excited drained from her face. "Er... isn't it sunny?" she asked, her eyebrows lowering.

Noko nods slowly and brushes some hair away from her eye. "It's normally always sunny since we don't get that much rain."

"And it's really hot, isn't it..." she asks, pursing her lips in dismay.

"Not always, in some places it's really cool and refreshing. The town I live in is near the ocean and its not too far off a lake either." Noko answers, seeing the girls expression constantly changing. "Are you alright?"

"Hot places, so I believe, aren't the best dynamic for water powers. I don't want them to fizzle out or anything sooo," she frowns.

"I see." Noko answers, trying to think of how to word what she would say next, "I'm a moon user and I've never had my ice magic fizzle out on me at all, nor have they done so for the few water magic users I've known there." She hoped this would make Tsol feel a bit better.

She looks at her hands. "I mean, what if they..." She sighs and looks back up at Noko. "It's alright, Solaria isn't my style. I'm gonna go rest up." She fakes a smile and heads to her bed.

She throws herself onto it and tries to sleep.

"Bye then." Noko answers, wondering what exactly she said that would ellicte the reaction Tsol gave her.

Griselda stops outside the door to the dorm and snaps her fingers. A flurry of possessions in boxes pile up just before the threshold of the room. "This is your new abode Ms. Dragoon."

"I guess I'll get unpacked, then. Thanks, Ms. G," Miave said, watching the boxes appear. "Uhh..actually, could you help me with the door?" She nodded her head to the dorm door. With her arms still full, she couldn't really reach the handle.

Griselda turns the handle and pushes it open, "You have a single just as before Ms. Dragoon." With that she turns and walks away.

"Oh, nice," Miave said, perking up a bit. At least she'd still have some privacy. And room for all her crap.

She walked in through the open door to see two of the dorm's residents already in the common room. No time like the present. She smiled, trying to wave around her armload of food.

"Hey! I'm Miave, I got reassigned to this dorm. ...You guys hungry?" She held up the pile in offering.

Noko turns to see the new person and gives a wave back, "At the moment, I'm kind of peckish, but not in snacking mood. Do you need some help with those boxes?"

"That would be great, yeah. Lemme just..." Looking around, Miave dumped the food on the first surface she could find (a coffee table next to the couches) and headed back into the hall to grab a few of the boxes. "Griselda says I'm in the single." Assuming the dorm was laid out similarly to her first one, she headed to where she assumed the room would be. "I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name?"

Noko blasts a bit of magic at the boxes inside and levitates them a few inches above the floor, following the girl, "Oh right, my names Noko."

"Right. Thanks for the help."

Miave watched as the girl floated a few boxes after her, a bit embarrassed that she hadn't done the same. She'd quickly learned at Alfea that using spells was second-nature to most fairies, even for basic tasks. That instinct had never developed in her, not when she was more likely to make a mess than to actually get anything done. She didn't give herself time to dwell on it, though, instead dropping the boxes when she got to her room and taking a look around.

"Same size," she said with a satisfied nod, more to herself than anyone else. "I guess it's a good thing we hadn't got that last room soundproofed yet, I can just get the crew to do it in here instead." She turned back to Noko. "You can dump those wherever, I'll unpack stuff once it's all in."
