The Karaoke Bar

"Find anything in there that you want to sing?" Roxy takes a seat on Vivian's other side while watching the younger student intently.

Xanthe's father returns from the back office and places up just behind the bar the renewed license for alcohol.

"There are too many choices! I really can't pick just one!" Vivian exclaimed as she tapped the fat binder a couple of times with the back of her hand as if to underline the sheer volume of songs it contained. "What do you guys want to drink? I just got us some glasses and of course they must be filled," she said with a huge smile on her face when Xanthe's father just emerged from the back office and hung something. Vivian had to arch her neck to an almost unnatural extend making for a somewhat finny sight combined with her small stature. "I guess the good stuff is back on the menu too. I wonder if they have firefighters..." she said, idly trailing off into her own thought at the end of the sentence.

"I'll probably take some ginger ale or something." Snow answers. She looks over to Roxy, "What will you have Roxy?"

Roxy thinks a moment, placing her index finger against her cheek, "I thinking maybe a apple cider or juice of some kind." She glances at Vivian with a questioning look, "What a firefighters?

"Oh they're the best drinks ever. It feels like you're drinking liquid ice and it's amazing on a hot day," she said. "But I'm uncertain if it's just a pyros thing or that they serve those in other places too," she said and shrugged. "I'll be right back," she said as she got up to order the drinks at the bar, first asking for the firefighter cocktail.

"A firefighters huh?" Mr. Diamond remarks, thinking a moment, "Yes, we do make them here and I can whip one up. I do need to see some ID thought." He points to the sign behind the bar that says the minimum age is 17.

Vivian summoned an ID card from her purse and held it up to the barkeep. "Seventeen huh, Back home it's fifteen. I heard ages tend to differ from realm to realm," Vivian stated and hummed softly. "I'd also like an apple cider, a ginger ale and lastly something to drink for Xanthe. Please poor all drinks in the glasses I bought," she said and waited for her order to be completed.

The man check the ID, finding it to be the real thing, "One Firefighters, apple cider and ginger ale coming up. I'll get my daughter a soda." The man gets to work on getting the drinks ready, but has to stop, "Xanthe, where are those glasses?"

"Coming!" Xanthe cried out, carrying out one of the boxes with the glasses, "I guess we didn't restock it before I left this morning. It's four glasses right?"

"I believe that is the case." Her father answers.

Xanthe placed out 4 glasses on the bar bench, before restocking the shelf.

"Thanks sweetie." Her father calls out and pours the first three drinks, then proceeds to make the firefighters.

Vivian clapped her hands excitedly and beamed. "Xanthe, I already think we're going to have a great time at Alfea," she said when Xanthe happened to be near her. "Are you coming to sing with us too?" she asked, hoping her work would leave some respite for her to enjoy herself.

Mr. Diamond listened to the conversation, finishing up the drink for Vivian, "She'll be free in hour or so to have fun with you lot. Here is your firefighter." The man slides it over to her with a light smile.

Vivian beamed and gave the man a nod. "Thank you sir!" she said enthusiastically yet politely. She carried the drinks to the table and gave everyone their appropriate drinks. She herself lifted the firefighter, a long-drink glass filled with ice and an opaque blue mixture, and cheered: "A toast to a great beginning!"

Snow raises her glass up with a smile, adding on to what Vivian had said, "And a toast to new friends as well." She had to admit, she was having a great time, but figured things would get better once they started to sing.

Roxy nods to the states and raises her glass to meet the others, "I couldn't agree more to what you said Vivian."

Xanthe raised her glass from afar, hoping that the group noticed her.

"Looks like Xathne is toasting with us." Snow smiles to the girl and moves her glass towards her dorm mate, mimicking them clinking together.

Xanthe did the same before taking a drink. Then she resumed working.

Snow would follow suit, taking several sips of her drink, before putting it down. "So are we ready to have a bit of fun." The fairy asks, her voice holding a hint of excitement in it, as do her eyes.

Roxy gives a short wave to Xanthe as she goes back to work and then takes a large gulp of her drink. She grins at the blue haired fairy's question, "I'm ready to have as much fun as possible today. Vivian, have you picked what song you want to start us off with?"

A small group of pixies fly into the bar. They appear cheerful and excited. They flitter over to Roxy. The group is composed of Piff, Lockette, and Cherie. Lockette holds the baby pixie's hand in a slightly protective manner.

The wealthy pixie conceals her mouth with her hand. She uncovers it and gasps, "Are you the Earth fairy Chatta told me Bloom told me the Tree of Life told her?" She had a hint of jealousy since the Winx paid a lot of attention to Roxy instead of her.
