Dorm Alpha

The voice in the same fashion as before explains the details of what they wished from her.

Xanthe got up and went to her room, telling the man she only agree if they accept three conditions.

The person on the other end yaps for sometime, but will speak to the higher ups about the terms and would be in touch with her about them.

Xanthe thanked the voice and hung up. She headed back into the lounge.
"So, what do you think of the list?" Xanthe asked Snow.

"It's a good list with some nice personal touches in it and it balances with your work." Snow answers her, "Maybe add in an stuff animal or two up there for effect."

"That sounds great! Now to do the floor plan....just in case" Xanthe sighed.
Whoever was on that phone sure loves to talk she thought.

"Maybe divide up the space you have so its all equal." Snow suggests, not sure that would even be a help.

With a stretch and a wide yawn, Sonya ambled through the dorm's front door and into the common room, only to stop abruptly and blink in surprise to see that she was not alone. Weird, wasn't today's class supposed to last longer?

After several fruitless hours of trying to sleep last night, Sonya had given up the ghost and discreetly made her way off school grounds and into Magix. Exploring the back streets and general nightlife was entertaining, but tiring, so she'd decided that it wouldn't hurt to skip the one class of the day. It was the first lesson, after all. How much could she really be missing?

She'd caught a late brunch before heading back to Alfea, and was intending to catch a nap until the class was over, but now her curiosity was piqued. "Hey guys," she said, her voice a bit husky with drowsiness. "Did class get cancelled, or something?" Yawning again, she settled into a seat on the same couch as Snow.

"We had class." Snow answers, recalling not seeing Sonya in class. She might have gone to breakfast and stayed a bit longer than intended. "Things got out of control and it was cut short."

"Out of control? How so?" Sonya's tired eyes widened a bit. Jeez, maybe she should have showed up.

"Vivian getting combative, someone having panic attacks, the class starting to get riotous and fearful after hearing about the attack two weeks ago. A few other things as well." Snow says, feeling like she wasn't exactly doing justice to how bad it got.

"That's a great idea" Xanthe exclaimed and added the suggestion in the list.

Upon hearing what exactly caused the uproar, Sonya heaved a sigh, raking a hand through her wavy hair. "Seems kinda late to start panicking about something that happened two weeks ago. I mean, it's taken care of now, right? And Faragonda said those creeps were acting independently of the cult they're in." She frowned. "Then again, I guess any kind of 'cult' might still be concerning..."

Noticing Xanthe scribbling away, Sonya craned her neck over to take a look. "Watchya got?"

"That's what the Professor tried to say to everyone, but Amaryl and others didn't take her word for it." Snow says softly, rubbing her arms. "She was trying to educate everyone to prevent panic when it came to them."

Amaryl. Naturally. It had only been two weeks since arriving at Alfea, but that's all Amaryl had needed to make it clear what an annoying shrew she was. And as much as Sonya liked Vivian personally, it wasn't hard to see her getting carried away with this as well.

"Kinda wish I'd stopped by work before coming back," Sonya said, sinking into the couch. "I wonder if we've got any books on those Phasla guys. If we can't learn about them here without sparking a riot, it might be a good idea to look into them ourselves."

"I think that is possible, but we have to be careful. We don't want to signal that we are going to fight them" Xanthe replied, before giving the list to Sonya.

"I would like to look into them more, but I agree with Xanthe about being careful. I really do not want them to show up on my parents door step or my sister's for that matter. Doubt King Ortel or Marion would be happy with that." Snow answers, but she frowns slightly, thinking about other sources she could look into.

"I don't think reading some books would mean we're planning an attack, but you guys do what you wanna do."

Accepting the list from Xanthe, Sonya looked it over curiously. "Looks like quite a set-up. What have you got planned?"

"I'll read a few and hope no one gets the wrong idea." Snow utters, wishing to know more about this Phasla.

"I have plans for my loft" Xanthe replied, "Need to contact my PR for the floor plans though."

"You're gonna get back to recording then?" Sonya handed the list back with a small grin. "And it was such big news when you took your break. What will the rags gossip about now?"

"I just hope that the paps doesn't find out that I am here, or else i won't get them off my backs" Xanthe sighed.

"Paps?" Snow questions, unfamiliar with the term, "What are Paps?"

"It's short for paparazzi. I call them paps for short" Xanthe replied, still wondering about who called her and why that person loves to talk so much.

Snow just nods, but doesn't wish to ask any further questions, but felt it was needed. "Are they some kind of animal?"
